Children are also full of talents! In the framework of the “EU-China Youth Program” of the China Arts Festival in the EU, little artists were honored during an exhibition showing their talents and artworks. About 40 artworks, all realized by kids aged 4 to 19 years old, during the past 4 years, were exhibited in Brussels. Those talented kids realized their works under the guidance and supervision of their teacher, Mr. Zhang Wenhai.
Mr. Zhang Wenhai is graduated from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels, and has its own artistic studio and atelier in Brussels. During his career, he was also selected for exhibitions and awards, including the Shanghai 2010 World Expo and for the Northern Print Biennale in the UK. Today, he teaches Chinese and Western painting techniques, as well as calligraphy, in his own studio and atelier in Brussels, and in the China Cultural Center in Brussels.
Numerous kids attended the opening ceremony of the exhibition together with their friends and parents. They also received a “Little Ambassador Award” from the hands of Julie Patterson, co-President of the Committee of the China Arts Festival in the EU, and Orsolya Hegedus, Executive Director of the OBOR Committee, one of the main partner and supporter of the festival. This award prove the kids’ involvement in China-EU cultural exchanges and encourage them to continue promoting Chinese culture abroad.
