To celebrate the 40th anniversary of EU-China relations, EU institutions in Brussels opened their doors to the first edition of the Chinese Cultural Festival in the EU.
Atlas International Culture produced an exhibition of 110 outstanding artworks of Chinese talented photographers and renowned comics artists, in collaboration with the Mission of China to the EU, the EU institutions and the China Federation of Literary and Arts Circles. The willingness of each part was to increase mutual understanding between China and the EU and to enrich both cultures with the best of the every side. The Chinese Cultural Festival in the EU was presented within Press Club Europe Brussels – with a breakfast preview and opening for press representatives – as well as in the European Parliament and EEAS building (European External Action Service) in Brussels.
A unique selection of 50 original drawings of renowned Chinese artists invites you to discover the particular charm of Chinese comics. Today, China has become a major comic strip country. Each year, it produces and broadcasts about 300 TV cartoon series, 40 animated movies and thousands of comic books. Chinese artists are actively searching collaboration projects and exchanges with European comic artists.
